I never thought that I would be a young mother. I also never saw myself really embracing being a mom. I always saw myself as someone that focused first on their career and then thought about having a family.  Sometimes we think we know exactly what we are going to do, how we are going to do it to get to a certain point where we think we will finally obtain happiness. Or at least that was the case for me. I had (or thought) I had everything mapped out for myself and I knew how I was going to get there. But sometimes God has other plans and if we are willing to listen we might find out HE knows best.
Obviously when I met the love of my life my priorities changed. Though it was hard to come to the conclusion that not everything was about how I thought life was suppose to turn out and in what time, I knew I had to take a detour on my little map. This has been the best detour I could have possibly made. Not only did I meet my better half but together we have created my happiness. I can't believe that in two days he is turning six months. I don't know where the time went. Each day he does something new, I wish there was a way to capture every single moment. I finally see what moms mean when they describe the love they have for their children. It's something that has no limit. I use to think they were exaggerating, but until you have a child, you have no idea what love is. I can't wait to see each stage of my Baby David's life, watch him grow and hopefully I stop and soak up as much as I can and enjoy the ride.
